LoRa wireless technology ranges go from 2 kilometers in dense urban environments to over 15 kilometers in open, rural line-of-sight settings. With each Meshtastic radio acting like a repeater, this can span across the state.

My local mesh in Melbourne, Florida stretches all the way up to Cape Canaveral

In order to extend my range from my handheld Meshtastic units I installed a solar node on a 10-foot pole in my back yard.

I have 1 node on my desk configured on my home WiFi network to act as a control panel for my Sensor nodes and to receive and send messages in the local public mesh.
