The Sony Raspberry Pi AI camera has a small image signal processor (ISP) and an AI accelerator which takes some of the heavy processing load off of the PI's CPU for other tasks. Being that this runs off-line, I was amused that a stubby screw driver was identified as a 'knife' and a wooden duck as 'cake', but the detection is limited by the neural net layers and the AI model file. I am sure I could find a more comprehensive model file and get far better results. Such models are trained through thousands of pictures with captions and some fancy algorithms.
